Yes. At launch, all available swaps upper components are compatible with all available swaps
outsole components. As long as the upper and outsole are the same size, they’ll fit together.
That means you can mix and match swaps components to create different color combinations,
looks, and styles without worrying about compatibility.
And we’re only getting started. We’re continuing to explore new ways to expand the swaps
system and give you even more options to personalize and customize your footwear in the

Swaps are made using Elastopan from BASF, a high-performance material selected for its
combination of comfort, flexibility, and durability.
Elastopan provides a soft, cushioned feel designed for comfortable everyday wear while also
standing up to repeated use.
The material is also recyclable, supporting our goal of creating footwear that combines
performance, versatility, durability, and more thoughtful material choices.

We chose Elastopan from BASF because the material plays an important role in what makes
swaps different from many traditional clog-style shoes.
While EVA is commonly used in molded clogs, Elastopan provides the most soft, flexible,
cushioned feel we wanted for swaps while also offering excellent durability.
For us, the material was about more than simply making a molded shoe. We wanted to create
comfortable clog footwear that feels good for everyday use, holds up well over time, and
supports the versatility of the swaps interchangeable footwear system.
Elastopan helps us deliver the combination of comfort, durability, flexibility, and
recyclability that we want Swaps to stand for, all while being an eco-friendly, recyclable
product.

Yes. Swaps are water-friendly footwear designed to be easy to wear and easy to clean.
Everyday dirt, sand, mud, and other debris can typically be rinsed away with water. When your
swaps need a more thorough cleaning, they can simply be hosed off as needed.
For routine care, remove the interchangeable upper component if desired, rinse or wipe the
footwear clean, and allow it to air dry naturally.
Avoid exposing Swaps to excessive heat. Air-dry only.
Their easy-care construction makes swaps a convenient option for everyday wear, travel,
outdoor activities, the backyard, the beach, and wherever the day takes you.
